about

Hues of Grit is the Road Miles' debut EP. Three original tracks, in a live recording, carry the band's raw sound to the ears of the listener. The band's electric forms are grafted with the American scene and a blues aesthetic.

Hues of Grit got released in digital format for free. A limited quantity of CDs is available at the Road Miles' live performances this season, where they present their work for the first time.

about

The Road Miles Athens, Greece

The Road Miles are a southern gothic band based in Athens, GR. Their fuzzy sound combines rock’n’roll energy with dark aesthetic under the influence of psychedelic blues.

They drag their guitars through reverb sounds and fuzz pedals while filtering the vocals with low-fi microphones, telling stories from a world full of heat, dust and red suns reflected on the steel hood of a deserted sedan.

Track Name: Beggar
You’re outside the door. You’re scratching it for-
someone to hear you howl.
You’re down on your knees, you’re begging them “Please,
I’m thirsty..I..I’m a fool..”

They hear you. They know, you’re outside the door
The lights are turning off.
They hear you. But no, they won’t care. “Why so?”
You-broke-the lock.

-There’s no “Little Goddess”, she’s betrayed you after all.
-She put on her satin dress and prepared your ending fall.

You traded your soul to nothing. Her poison was lurking your veins.
Now you’re filling a golden, Holy Grail with your blood that’s feeding her brains.

Here’s your “little Goddess”! She is laughing behind your back.
Performing now some crazy dance, stealing any chance of some luck.

You’re outside the door. You’re scratching it more
The frame is ready to blur.
You fall down. Your chest, is caught in the nest
Of your lovely spider.
Track Name: Bathtub
Boredom became my closest pal and the bricks are suffocating, are they not?
I think I laugh my same laugh, holding my knees I’m escaping, am I not?

Dear Voice of mine, speak.
Speak up your mind, lean
Lean on my side, clean
Clean me, it’s fine.
-Do you think that’s okay?-

I’m a hypocrite now, but I feel fine. In time I meet with myself, I enjoy it.
I squeeze my eyelids, hold a cry, pulling the coigns of my lips, that is it.

Dear Fear of mine, hold.
Hold on to me , creep
Creep up on me, stop
When I am taught.
-Do you think that’s okay?-

*Do you know why you’re alone? ‘Cause you are full of excuses. You are so confused. Does it sound okay? But you are the hit that I need. You are never enough. Without you I’m cold, fuck. Does it sound okay?*

But, you are the hit that I need.
You are never enough.
Without you I’m cold, fuck.
-Does it sound okay?
I don’t think I’m okay.-
Track Name: Mononoto
You’ll see that one day, you’ll see that one day, you’ll see that one day you’ll be mine mine mine.
Before that Sunday, before that Sunday, before that Sunday I’ll be fine fine fine.
Until I’m out there, until I’m out there, until I’m out there, I will shine shine shine.

R. : You’ll be on that mountain, before that Sunday you’ll see that one day you’ll be mine mine mine.

R. : You’ll be on that mountain, before that Sunday you’ll see that one day you’ll be mine mine mine.
